Simone – Buttoned long sleeve lace wedding dress

The lace

Made in Japan by a high end fabric mill, the lace is sheer, soft and resilient. This quality fabric is available in matt or gloss and in many sheer wedding dress shades.
I have a gorgeous, ever-so-soft blush in stock, but I decided to use the classic ivory over a nude base for this style. I think the light blush would look amazing over an off-white lining! This lace features an all-over floral pattern with the edge scalloped.

The cut

I cut the floral design to run vertically down the body and sleeves for a slimming effect. The scalloped lace edging along the boat neckline and on the wrist is hand appliqued. One of the standout features of this wedding dress must be the beautiful pearl button closure on the back. The lace dress is separate from the lining, so the lace back buttons close gently with little elastic loops. The train is generous, can be buttoned up for dancing and is edged with delicate scallops.

Nude inner wedding dress/lining

The inner layer is a sheath dress, finely lined. The fabric is a Swiss moss crepe, which is comfortable and very smooth. Excellent tailoring makes this bodice surprisingly supportive, with the low back held by invisible French tulle. This slip feels barely there, wears with ease but gives that magic hold many women need. We have access to many nude shades if you’d like to tweak the colour, or we can match the ivory colour of the lace dress. This wedding dress lining is closed with a side zip and cut to floor length without a train for easy movement.
