Drop Waist Silhouette And Hand Draping
Sage is built around the long fitted line of the bodice. The panelled and boned construction holds the gown close through the waist and upper hip, creating the dropped waist shape before the skirt drops into soft and volumous pleating. This gives the dress its strong silhouette: fitted and sculptural through the body, then flowing through the skirt.
The cross-draped bodice softens the lines, drawing the fabric across the front into a V-neckline before falling into off-shoulder drop sleeves. From the back, the low V keeps the gown open and elegant, with the same crisp Mikado satin giving definition to the shape.
The pleated A-line skirt brings movement and scale to the dress. The very lightweight Mikado satin allows the skirt to hold its form without looking stiff, and the medium train gives Sage a classic ceremony finish.
