When Kate came to see me, she had travelled from up north to Auckland looking for a beautiful ready-to-wear wedding dress for her beach wedding. While trying on our collection, the Lola – Cowl Neck Wedding Dress stood out to her. It seemed ideal, but she wanted to be sure, so she made another trip with her mum to try on her favourite gown again. That was when she made it hers. Only minor alterations were needed, which we fitted around her next trip to Auckland, and then she took her wedding dress home.
A few days before the wedding, I got the call that Kate was pregnant and the dress would no longer do up. They came down on a Sunday morning, and I made the gown fit that day. Beautiful bride, beautiful dress, and all worked out in the end.
